I have been doing a lot of reflecting and pondering lately, and I mean a lot! If I could make my brain be quiet I might actually be able to focus! These are definitely challenging times in so many ways. With the current state of our economy, the pending general election, the overwhelming evil all round us, Satan discouraging us and planting seeds of doubt at every possible opportunity, the tragic and painful trials that SO many around us are struggling to endure, the trivial challenges that come are way every time things are going good, it can be daunting some days. But in lieu of it all their is HOPE, and tender mercies, friendship, strength and lessons learned, knowledge, compassion, acceptance for others, opportunities for change and humility, and the list goes on and on. I have been INSPIRED by so many around me for many different reasons and feel the challenge to try harder, to focus on the things that ARE most important and are going to help my family and I return to our Heavenly Father. To stay positive and try to influence others to do the same. So here are just a FEW of the things I feel LUCKY to have in my life (blessed is the better word!) Things that I hope to never take for granite..
I feel Lucky to have the gospel in my life.
I feel Lucky to know the Plan of Salvation
I feel Lucky to be sealed in the temple to Mr P (P= perfect or Perkins?)
I feel Lucky to have 4 happy, healthy, beautiful children
I feel Lucky to have an loving family (outlaws included!!!!)
I feel Lucky to have friends who are loving, supportive, fun, good examples
I feel Lucky to have a husband who is an equal partner and who loves and supports me
I feel Lucky to have a nice home, cars that run, and food to eat
I feel Lucky to have so many men and women sacrificing so that we may continue to enjoy our freedom
I feel Lucky to have free agency
I feel Lucky to have knowledge
I feel Lucky to have the Atonement
I think this may have to be an ongoing list!

Thanks for sharing that with us! I love what you wrote. The worlds distractions can be so enticing sometimes and it makes it difficult to stay focused on why we're here and our families. Thanks for being such a strong woman and example to those around you.
